Help change the future of our water
On Wednesday, March 15th, 2023, you can help change the future of water in your area. Make sure to cast your vote during the water authority elections.
On this day, you really do have a choice. About your living situation in terms of water. How much water authority taxes you should pay. And in fact, even about how you would like to spend your spare time around water. Please cast your vote if you are at least 18 years old on Wednesday, March 15th, 2023!
Treating water
The board of the Delfland Water Authority, the water authority in your area, makes daily choices about how to deal with water in its surroundings. We maintain 700 kilometres of dikes, dunes, and quays. Ensuring clean, healthy, and living water in ditches, waterways, and canals. We drain rainwater after heavy showers and retain water during droughts. And, we purify wastewater: those 130 litres of water that you use every day and which eventually reach our four wastewater treatment plants, travelling through sewers.
Voting for water
On Wednesday, March 15th, 2023, you get to tell us how we should proceed. By voting during the water authority elections, you can let the new board of Delfland Water Authority know how you picture the future of our water. This way, deciding on the future of our water becomes a team effort.
